How do appointment requests work?
When you request an appointment, it is not automatically confirmed. All requests go into a pending status until your clinician reviews and approves them.
-
Why does my appointment say “pending”?
Because it hasn’t been reviewed yet. Appointments are typically reviewed and approved within 7 days of the scheduled date, not at the time they are requested. So if your appointment is pending, that simply means it hasn’t reached that window yet.
-
Can I book appointments in advance?
Yes. You can request appointments up to 90 days in advance. However, those requests will remain pending until they are closer to the scheduled date and reviewed by your clinician.
-
When is my appointment officially confirmed?
Your appointment is only confirmed once it has been approved by your clinician. Until then, it is still considered a request.
-
Can my appointment be declined?
Yes. Occasionally, appointment requests may be declined or adjusted due to:
- Schedule conflicts
- Changes in availability
- Clinical or administrative needs
If that happens, we will communicate with you and help you find another time. -
When are appointments reviewed?
Appointments are typically reviewed weekly to prepare for the upcoming schedule. This allows us to:
- Avoid scheduling conflicts
- Protect time for urgent needs
- Ensure we are fully present for each client -
Why don’t you confirm appointments far in advance?
Because life be life-ing. Schedules change, emergencies happen, and we want to make sure that when your appointment is confirmed, it is intentional, protected time that we can fully commit to.
-
What should I do if my appointment is still pending?
Nothing.
Seriously. You’re good.
If your appointment is within the upcoming week, it will be reviewed soon. If it’s further out, it will stay pending until it gets closer.
